Branding that makes a garden center feel like home

Problem: Daring Hill Gardens is a new garden center and floral shop located in Mt. Desert Island, Maine. The two owners wanted branding and packaging that reminded them of their cozy mid-century home but that was still modern and fun.

Method: For this project, I wanted to highlight the muted tones and bold typography of mid-century modern aesthetics. I was inspired by the patterns found on retro furniture, the colors of heirloom tomatoes, and type-heavy band posters.

Daring Hills' main logo was created to fit most of their branding needs. The logo was created to highlight the name of the business while the imagery and type choice are reminiscent of mid-century aesthetics.

This is the secondary logo created to fit in smaller spaces. It uses the same information as the primary logo with an emphasis on the floral imagery.
